Effective temporary lighting is a critical control measure in hazardous and confined work environments. Poor visibility increases task duration, error rates, and exposure time—directly impacting both safety and operational efficiency. In classified areas, temporary lighting must provide consistent, reliable illumination while complying fully with applicable explosion-protection standards and site-specific permit requirements.

ExSafe’s temporary lighting range, supplied by WOLF, is engineered specifically for use in ATEX and IECEx classified environments where portable and task-focused illumination is required. These luminaires are widely specified across offshore oil & gas, marine and shipbuilding, chemical processing, utilities, and industrial maintenance operations worldwide.

Certified to ATEX (EU) and IECEx (international), the range includes portable and fixed LED luminaires, task lights, and system components designed for deployment in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas. Products are rated for Gas Group IIC, dust atmospheres where applicable, and ambient temperatures up to +55 °C, supporting use in demanding industrial and offshore conditions.

All temporary lighting products feature whole-unit certification, robust mechanical protection, and sealed electronics to minimize ignition risk and simplify inspection, approval, and ongoing compliance. Multiple supply voltage options, plug-and-play connectivity, and through-wiring configurations allow lighting systems to be deployed efficiently and integrated into temporary worksite layouts alongside certified power distribution and ventilation equipment.

When used as part of a complete hazardous-area worksite system, temporary lighting supports safe access, accurate task execution, and reduced exposure time during maintenance, shutdowns, confined space entry, and construction activities in potentially explosive atmospheres.
